Alison Knowles/ Alan Bowman – Performance Aftermath!

  • Posted on August 16, 2011 at 10:51 pm

Short cellphone videoclip of the ‘active’ table used in the production of the live soundtrack for AK’s ‘Shoreline’ video. The table was amplified, beans, clockwork frogs, a zipper, a sweater, music boxes, pencils, a tinned rose, paper bags and masking tape were the instruments used. The film goes from my end to Alison’s, I suppose you can tell that we have different styles! The paper was thrown away, pity…I quite liked the drawing! The performance took place as part of the ‘beans in paper sound’ performances at the Cologne Kunsthochschule fuer Medien, Aril 23, 2009. The Nivea Cream was from cleaning up after “Nivea Cream Piece for Emmett Williams” (AK 1962)

Check out this path on Google maps street view after you watch this. The Hospital is St. Johns which has been on the news. This is from our trip from the Grove Bible Church, Gilbert AZ to Joplin, MO which we brought a 10 x 16 enclosed trailer full of water, food, clothes, sleeping bags, Hygiene items, dog beds, and dog food from Chandler, AZ. The next day we cleaned up a house on Pennsylvania , repaired his roof, and replanted her container garden with a variety of vegetables.

Red Shirt Aftermath: Day 2, Bomb scare…. NOT.

I don’t know what’s goofier in this video. The soldier who tests to see if the dufflebag contains a bomb by KICKING IT, or the Japanese tourist who upon hearing that the bag might contain a bomb MOVES CLOSER to take a better photo. …wow. I wasn’t worried about it being a bomb, since I saw the soldiers throwing a few duffle bags full of red T-shirts (which they had confiscated from a street vendor) just the day before. Looks like they forgot about doing that. :-P
