Entry from: Buenos Aires, Argentina Entry Title: “Bustling BA” Entry: “Friday 05/03/10 Yet another completely uneventful bus ride. Even the scenery is consistently dull, just completely flat grasslands with a tree here and there to mix things up. Every time the bus pulls over I think that it must have run out of fuel.. no one can live here right? Every town seems to be just a collection of about 10 buildings, all seemingly selling building supplies and nothing else. I arrived at Buenos Aires ready to get going. BA had really been one of the major reasons for my trip to South America. I’d only heard good things, great steak, wine, dancing and with European architecture to boot. For once on this trip, I easily navigated my exit from the retiro, on to the metro and to my hostel with only two map checks and one “Donde es?”. I think I’m in love already. Put my bags down and immediately checked facebook for a bit of love and an excuse to mingle in the common room hoping for someone to friend adopt me for the night. Luckily an aussie girl Monica struck up a conversation and mentioned that it was her birthday. Mistake number one.. she said she wasn’t sure if she was going to go out or not. Mistake number two.. I demanded that we go out cos you can’t have a birthday in BA and stay in on the internet all night
