Heimlicher Ayers homeless Veterans

This is part 2 the discussion before the press conference held at City Hall Tuesday, October 21, 2008 to announce the federal class action lawsuit against the city of Colorado Springs and Keep Colorado Springs Beautiful for the homeless camp raids that have swept up homeless Veterans, taken their belongings, clothes and sleeping bags. CVA recently learned that a taxpayer funded organization known as Keep Colorado Springs Beautiful, has been ransacking the camps of homeless veterans and confiscating and destroying personal property including identification documents, VA paperwork, photographs and in some cases service medals. This is presented without cuts for accuracy. Discussion is between the Gazette’s Barry Noreen and Wayne Laugesen and councilmember Heimlicher and Patrick Ayers on the news reports on the same issue that CVA has been dealing with for some time, recently reported in the paper, on KRDO TV, and by The Street Church, who filmed the raid. www.youtube.com
