Entry from: Tumlingtar, Nepal Entry Title: “Makalu Base Camp” Entry: “Makalu – the fifth highest mountain in the world, remote and relatively unknown to trekkers and a must on the circuit of 50 places to see before you die. There were just two real concerns to discuss and agree on, the main one being that due to the remoteness of Makalu any trek has to fully supported, and that means camping! No hot showers or proper toilet facilities. The second and probably the most important (for normal people) the weather, given that there’s only two relatively short seasons per year in which to undertake the trek. Unfortunately we arrived in Nepal just at the beginning of the rainy season, this was in part due to our extended stay in Tibet (such a special place) but also due to the political situation in Nepal which now appears to have stabilised. So on a wet and miserable day we set off to find a trekking company that had been recommended by a couple of different people… After discussing our plans the company confirmed that it would still be possible to trek to Makalu and for a reasonable fee. They were confident that they could muster a guide, cook and the necessary porters within a few of days. The only thing we had to bear in mind was the unpredictable weather. They told us that it had snowed in March this

You all know them. You all hate them. Nuke boosters. Hopefully this will give you some tips on how to deal with these game ruining assholes. Final score is 30-3.
