Entry from: Airlie Beach, Australia Entry Title: “Most Beautiful Man In the World” Entry: “Hi Everybody, Last you heard we were frolicking with all sorts of endemic Australian wildlife and having a great time on the Victorian coast. Since then we’ve done quite a bit of moving around Australia. First, we spent an absolutely wonderful week in Sydney with two of the most wonderful and welcoming (to two tired travelers) people – Matthew and Jayne, Jordan’s friends from a previous trip. Originally, we had planned to only stay in Sydney for five days, but extended to make sure we could attend the many fun activities Matthew and Jayne had planned for our enjoyment. Aside from a Sydney harbour boat ride on a friend’s converted ferry boat and a real Aussie backyard BBQ complete with homebrew, Matthew scored a few tickets to the taping of a popular Aussie tv show called “The Glass House.” Think “Who’s Line Is It Anyway” meets “The Daily Show”. Before the taping began, one of the hosts came out to the lobby to tv interview the audience for their opinion on who is the most beautiful person in the world. Jordan, when faced with this question, bright lights and a tv camera in his face, answered, “Matthew, of course…he’s right over there.” Matthew without missing a beat, said, “I’m honored, but believe it is actually …

A Beautiful Night In Oslo

We were touring the Scandinavian with the Pipettes from the United Kingdom. And actually we fell in love with that band and I know that they fell in love with us too. So if you wanna hear a true on the road story about Billie the Vision and the Pipettes… just turn it up now, just turn it up now. I thought I was supposed to run away with you, but I’m running away with Joe. We’re in Oslo and we did a terrible show, but the Norwegian pop freaks went “Hey hey ho”. And Joe said “let’s get the priorities straight” and I said “No, let’s get the priorities queer”. And we laughed together and said “It’s good to be here, but now we need to get the booze and the beers”. So we went running through the streets of Oslo We had the beers and the booze in the Billie bus, but we’d forgotten where we parked it. And Joe said “Jesus Christ Billie guys — you must learn to organise!” And I said “I’m sorry Joe, I’m really sorry. But we didn’t do this on purpose”. Entry from: Sucre, Bolivia Entry Title: “Most Beautiful City in Bolivia” Entry: “We decided to continue our travels with Riquard and Thies by heading to Sucre, known as a beautiful colonial city in Bolivia. It was a 2 hrs there and believe it or not we took a taxi (only $14 and split that 4 ways). Just an example of how cheap it is in Bolivia. The four of us enjoyed a nice dinner and confirmed that Bolivian wine is not as good as wine from Argentina (duh!). Dinner turned into drinks at a near by bar, which was shutting it’s doors around midnight. Riquard was able to find a bar open late, although it was a bit interesting. When we entered there were two people sleeping on bean bags and other guy passed out in his chair. But they were still serving so we stayed … and we stayed until 4am. Good conversation, we both really enjoyed our time with the Dutchmen. It is also good to mix up our social circle since it is consistently just us! We had only plan for one full day in Sucre, but since I was hungover, we extended our visit to two days. The beauty of having lots of time to play with, plus it gave Mike a chance to catch up on some futbol matches on tv. The next day in Sucre we wandered around the city. Entry from: Boudler, United States Entry Title: “Great weather, beautiful scenery, straight roads.” Entry: “Time off in the Bay Area After 5 days driving to the SF-Bay area from Seattle, I stayed put for 10 days, hanging out with family and friends. I stayed with Scott most of the time. I hadn’t seen Scott and Stephanie for over a year, so it was good to just hang out, especially for a longer period of time. Usually when I see them its for only for a long weekend over some holiday. (I picked up an IBM Thinkpad 600 from Scott, an old beater of a laptop. I’m sitting in a coffee shop in Boulder writing this.) On the road again, Day 16 While I probably could have stayed for weeks in the Bay area, I felt the need to get going, nor did I want to overstay my welcome. So I finally headed out to Tahoe. I camped in the Stanislaus National Forest outside of Tahoe. The road through the forest is one lane, heavily forested and very twisty. Very fun. Day 17 The next day I went through Tahoe (day 17 after leaving Seattle.) The weather was beautiful, the water was blue, and there were people everywhere. I was amazed at how many people visit there? I headed straight West along 50 from Tahoe. After Tahoe, the day was relatively uneventful. Driving across Nevada was pretty boring, there are ocassionaly mountains to pass …

The girl nodded slowly, as she carefully made her way back to her bed. “Ellie, you’ve been like this for almost two weeks now, and yet, you havent gotten a fever or anything like that, Why do you keep on throwing up?” Alyssa asked her friend. Ellie just shook her head, and laid back onto her pillow. Alyssa grabbed one of Ellies bean bags, and sat on it. Miranda came back from the bathroom, this time with an empty bucket. “Here, maybe this’ll help you” She said, sitting on Ellie’s desk chair. “Thanks guys, I’m sorry I’m sick” Ellie thanked her friends.
