Kawasaki VN800 Bobber Build Live @ Australian Motorcycle Expo 2010!

  • Posted on August 5, 2011 at 10:11 am

JUST BIKES – www.justbikes.com.au Day 1 of the Australian Motorcycle Expo saw Jimmy G from JUST BIKES and Jimmy B from Destino Custom Garage build this traditional style bobber in record time. With only one day to strip and build this bike the guys had their work cut out! The day started with a massive tear down of this once daily rider. Removing the windscreen, saddle bags, crash bars, handle bars, front and rear fenders, exhaust, tank seat and lighting! After the tear down, they started to reassemble the bike, transforming from a once boring cruiser to an attention grabbing bobber thanks to the Destino Custom Garage Kawasaki VN800 Bobber kit. Slowly but surely the bike came together, adding the Destino Custom Garage Bobbed rear fender, springer seat kit, drag bars, smaller front fender, indicators, and side mount licence plate. They then wrapped up the exhaust in some white heat wrap for that little extra old school cool! Steve May from Lizard Designs had his hand at this very slick paint job using some of DNA Paints super bling candies and flakes. The end result is one very cool, traditional styled bobber.
