The Born Project Have you ever wondered how much food, water, clothing, and gas, among other things, are used by each person in his lifetime? And just how much do these acts impact and leave a mark or footprint” on the world? The details may surprise you. For its second anniversary, Born to be Wild is launching a Two-Part Special called The Born Project”. In its first installment, we calculate the consumption of basic human necessities from rice to beverages to paper to plastics, and more and illustrate how these affect the environment as a whole. Did you know, for example, that each Filipino would have consumed at least 210 sacks of rice by the time he dies? Using physical objects to illustrate the extent of our consumption, this episode called Project Footprint” will show just how many mounds of paper cups, plastic bags, food products and waste we leave behind. Born to be Wild also encourages viewers to do their share in minimizing their mark or footprint on the planet, by taking small steps to make a difference. Pledges are already pouring in from Born to be Wilds Facebook account!
