How to Build a Plastic Bottle Boat

200 plastic bottles, 1000 plastic bags, a wooden pallet and an old tarp make a mighty fine sailboat. Single-use plastics are found throughout the marine environment – on the surface, in sediment and everywhere in between. A dozen volunteers, with hands full of materials, met in Tiburon, California to build a plastic bottle boat to bring attention to the plastic plague in the worlds oceans.
