Entry from: Windsor, Canada Entry Title: “2 more days of madness… fun” Entry: “Wednesday, August 18: I have to shuck corn this morning. It is but a 10 minute effort. I am tired. Then after breakfast me and Doreen go to a good presentation on the production of energy from Fundy tides (the biggest of the world). Very good stuff. I then go practice for THE skit we will do tonight. Everyone here is waiting for it. I hope we can make them laugh. I hope my costume is ok for them. We have some new players. Bill Matier, Marc Labelle and Dan Pope from Ontario complete the trio of Stan, Jerry and me. We will have a video to show when we come back. We then go to sloppy joe lunch. Very messy stuff but good enough. After it is time to play some more bean bags. But again we get beaten. Those old Atlantic ladies that are too “frail” !! Do not believe it. They beat the … out of you. The afternoon is calm after that. I go to the jam session where there is good talent (except me). Supper you say, well of course. Corn this time. After we come back at the trailer and because there is a little ‘creux’ left we have some pasta. I know we are p….(your imagination is running wild). Then Doreen goes to the second project sale (we will be rich!!!). Then it’s time to prepare for the big show. We view some acts first

Entry from: Jasper, Canada Entry Title: “The Icefields Parkway and Jasper National Park” Entry: “22nd April 2010 Overnight the temperature in Banff dropped drastically and we awoke to a layer of ice inside the car windows. Unfortunately, we also awoke to very grey skies which was a shame as today we were heading up the Icefields Parkway to Jasper National Park. Not deterred by the weather, we set off and first stop was Lake Louise. Having seen postcards with picture perfect images of this lake, we were a little disheartened by the very un-photogenic view that greeted us; a completely frozen, grey, misty, wet, cold sight. Spurred on by the never dwindling enthusiasm of a coach load of Japanese tourists, we took some snaps, soaked up the surroundings and marvelled at the huge snow drifts blocking up the roads and most of the carpark. The frozen, grey, misty, wet, cold theme pretty much continued throughout the rest of our drive up one of the most scenic routes in the world! The glaciers, frozen lakes and rivers, and Columbia Icefield didn’t fail to impress us at all and were absolutely awesome despite the weather. The entire area is wild and untamed and apart from the road, and of course tourists like us, there is no trace of mankind whatsoever in this part of the world. We arrived in Jasper town
