THREE I lay my head down on my bed and close my eyes for a second. I let my mind shift through useless thoughts. “Hey!” Kennedy startles me as she skips into my room. “You scared me!!” I exclaim jumping from my bed. “You’ve been so uneasy today…,” she eyes me as he sits cross-legged on the floor. “Yea, I watched Drag Me To Hell with my brother and his friend the other day,” I explain fixing my wrinkled bed sheets. “I thought you hated horror movies? And what friend? Was Cassidy there?” Kennedy begins to interrogate me. “Well…I was forced to, his friend Stephen, and no she wasn’t there,” I reply, proud that I was able to answer each question. “Is his friend Stephen hot?” Kennedy asks eagerly. “He’s a college guy,” I reply with a shrug. “Older men are definitely better than all the boys at our school,” she sighs fussing with my shaggy pink rug. “I’m not focused on boys right now,” I tell her confidently. “Really? Tell me you weren’t a full-on flirt with Aaron the other day,” she smirks at me. “Aaron’s nice and all but-,” Kennedy gasps, cutting me off. “Aaron is more than nice! He’s popular, athletic, charming-,” I interrupt her as she sighs dreamily. “Is this going anywhere?” I frown hitting her with my star-shaped pillow. “Point is he likes you, you should totally go for it!” she says truthfully. I sigh, letting her words float around my head. I hear my mom call me and I jump from my bed. “Get me a soda while your down there,” Kennedy begs, I love how she makes my home
