Christmas Tamales

Chicken Tamales: I will give the ingredients for how many I made. You can cut it down to how many you would like. I ended up with about 10 dozen chicken and 5 dozen beef. The video just shows the chicken tamales and I will give the recipe for the beef as well. Some how the last potion of the video did not tape. That is where I had to explain the rest of the process. Sorry about that. Chicken Tamales: 10 lbs of chicken breast cooked (I boiled them in water with 2 Tablespoons of Knorrs Tomatoe Chipotle Bouillion) After you cook the chicken let cool and shred. Reserve the water. That is going to be the liquid to mix with the Masa. Masa: 4 cups Masa, 1 Cup Crisco, 1 teaspoon Garlic Salt, 4 Cup Broth (reserved from cooked chicken), 2 Tablespoons Chicken Bullion, Mix above ingredients and beat with a mixer until combined and easily spreadable. Soak the corn husks in hot water for a couple of minutes and then dry. Place smooth side up and use 1/3 cup of masa and spread on the top half of the husk. You want to leave a little more at the top. Place a strip of green chili on top of the masa and then the chicken mixture. Fold up as shown and tie with a strip of corn husk if you wish. Beef Tamales: 1 5 lb. piece of London Broil. (I cooked mine in a crock pot for about 6 hours. You can also grill or cook in the oven. It needs to be tender enough to shred) Masa for Beef Tamales: 4 Cups Masa, 1 Cup Crisco, 1 cup Pace Picante Sauce or whatever kind you like, 3 cups of Broth, 2 teaspoons

Pastor Robs House On Christmas Eve?

  • Posted on August 10, 2011 at 7:11 pm

abcnews.go.com A Dallas pastor who is accused of climbing through a window to steal fur coats and purses from her parishioner’s home on Christmas Eve claims that she was just trying to protect the property from burglars. Sandy McGriff, 52, was apprehended by Dallas police in the afternoon on Christmas Eve when she was spotted stuffing items belonging to Serita Agnew, a parishioner at the The Church of the Living God where McGriff is the pastor. McGriff, who did not immediately respond to messages left by ABCNews.com, told ABC News’ Dallas affiliate WFAA that she was checking on Agnew’s house when she caught two men breaking in. Asked why she didn’t just call the police rather than climbing through the window, McGriff told WFAA, “My mistake, I should have.” In another interview with The Dallas Morning News, McGriff, surrounded by her own collection of fur coats, told the reporter that she doesn’t “stand in need of anything.” Adding that she had a carload of groceries when she was arrested, McGriff told the paper, “I don’t know of a burglar that’s going to go shopping for groceries and then go commit a burglary.” “I thought I was helping,” McGriff said. But police tell a different story, and say that McGriff was not only caught with $12000 worth of Agnew’s possessions but gave a different name at the time of her arrest, which she then tried to evade. McGriff gave cops the name “Kathy Robinson,” one of several alias she has been known to use, according to Dallas Police

How the Grinch Stole Christmas! – 3 of 3

  • Posted on August 2, 2011 at 11:54 pm

It’s Christmas Eve down in Whoville, and everyone’s decorating for the big day tomorrow. Everyone, that is, but the Grinch (Boris Karloff), who lives on Mt. Crumpit (just north of Whoville) with a sour attitude. He absolutely hates everything about Christmas because of the noise surrounding the entire town on Christmas Day. The Grinch tries to come up with a plan of “keeping Christmas from coming”. Just then, he notices his dog, Max, covered in snow in a Santa Claus-like way. The Grinch then gets the notion of diguising himself as Santa and stealing all of the Whos’ presents, believing that that is enough to stop the holiday from coming. First, he cuts out a coat and a hat and sews some fluff onto them. Next, he takes a reindeer horn and ties it to Max. Finally, the Grinch brings out a big stack of bags, loads it onto his ramshackle sleigh, and starts down on his journey to Whoville in a very comical way. Down in Whoville, the Grinch starts to steal everything in the first house. Cindy Lou Who (June Foray) wakes up and asks him why he’s taking the Christmas tree. The Grinch lies and tells her that something is wrong with this tree and he’ll fix it up. After tucking Cindy Lou back in bed, the Grinch stuffs up the tree, takes the log for their fire, and goes up “the chimney himself, the old liar.” He does the same thing for every house afterwards. Loaded with everything the Whos owned, the Grinch and Max takes up the loot to Mt. Crumpit. Feeling joyous at the moment, the
