Entry from: Sucre, Bolivia Entry Title: “Most Beautiful City in Bolivia” Entry: “We decided to continue our travels with Riquard and Thies by heading to Sucre, known as a beautiful colonial city in Bolivia. It was a 2 hrs there and believe it or not we took a taxi (only $14 and split that 4 ways). Just an example of how cheap it is in Bolivia. The four of us enjoyed a nice dinner and confirmed that Bolivian wine is not as good as wine from Argentina (duh!). Dinner turned into drinks at a near by bar, which was shutting it’s doors around midnight. Riquard was able to find a bar open late, although it was a bit interesting. When we entered there were two people sleeping on bean bags and other guy passed out in his chair. But they were still serving so we stayed … and we stayed until 4am. Good conversation, we both really enjoyed our time with the Dutchmen. It is also good to mix up our social circle since it is consistently just us! We had only plan for one full day in Sucre, but since I was hungover, we extended our visit to two days. The beauty of having lots of time to play with, plus it gave Mike a chance to catch up on some futbol matches on tv. The next day in Sucre we wandered around the city. We were always amazed how many people were on the streets, especially around noon when the

This is Captain Rick Duncan addressing City Council at City Hall Tuesday, February 24, 2009 to ask that they NOT fund “Keep Colorado Springs Beautiful” homeless camp raids that have swept up homeless Veterans, taken their belongings, clothes and sleeping bags. CVA learned last year that a taxpayer funded organization known as “Keep Colorado Springs Beautiful”, has been ransacking the camps of homeless veterans and confiscating and destroying personal property including identification documents, VA paperwork, photographs and in some cases service medals. coloradovets.org Read the Colorado Springs Gazette coverage, KRDO TV interview, DailyKOS, and NewSpeakBlog. coloradovets.org www.ColoradoVets.org

New York City Boy-Balatonsound 2010

  • Posted on August 16, 2011 at 4:53 am

Heineken Balaton Sound (also just Balaton Sound) is a major greenfield music festival held annually since 2007 on the southern bank of the Lake Balaton, Hungary. It is one of the largest music festivals featuring live acts and DJs from Hungary and throughout Europe. The festival was conceived to support and focus mostly on electronic music but to avoid being repetitive or dull, each year organizers invite performers of other music genres, such as Jazz, New Wave, Pop rock, Neo soul, Dub, etc. The event was co-created by the organizers of Sziget Festival with cooperation of several minor production companies. As the festival gets more famous and popular each year, tickets are usually sold out by the end of March at the official ticket vendors; this event sets new attendance records yearly. The first Balaton Sound festival was held between 12 and 15 July, 2007. The fact that the event was held on the shore of the largest lake of Central Europe in mid-summer, twenty-hour music programs and the line-up gave it a significant public interest and since the first occasion these features make the festival special. The festival is located on the West part of Zamárdi at the crossing of Panoráma and Zöldfa utca (street). The official website of the festival gives exact information about getting to the location. Inside the festival area variable stages, lounges, and tents are established for the performances. The sponsors of the festival create luxurious chill-out facilities with
