Entry from: Göreme, Turkey Entry Title: “Mountain Biking in Cappadocia” Entry: “This entry is about dedications… Some of the best things about travel are found not in the ancient sites or stunning landscape but in the people you meet along the way… and the kind and caring ones that help our on our many journeys are numerous… The most important dedication goes to Brian Shaw… that Brian Shaw guy that lives in Salt Lake City, Utah… the hardcore biker and skier who traverses whatever mountain or canyon he can… if he’s not heading to the local pool with his girls, helping a friend in need, shooting the **** with the mailman or eagerly watching his beautiful wife Dana prepare an early morning cup of coffee… Why this dedication? Well… during this summer while we stayed with Brian and Dana and girls… we decided to pick up some mountain bikes so we could bring them to Turkey with us… Brian took the time to bring us around to many, many bike shops so we could find a good bike for a great deal… his unending knowledge on mountain bikes helped us make informed decisions that were well beyond what I could have pulled off on my own… His patience as well, was much appreciated… for I can be somewhat of a “cheap ****er” that wants to find quality for a dime… which can never really be had …
