Sunday Morning in the Tent – Decision Time

Ok… so after emergency pitch up the day before and temperatures of -61 stripping us bare of our sense of humour (almost)… we woke after one hell of a night to Decision Time… As we had been traversing in a tack formation rather than straight – we had not made as much distance as we had wished… also.. temperatures and conditions had meant sleeping bags were unrolled too early in the evenings – thus exposing them to the steam from cooking – thus making them wet and not effective in keeping us warm – fule was low… were we to turn back and stay within reach of emergency services or were we to risk going deeper into the pass without any days spare for ‘fudge factor’????
