One Dollar Bill: Chapter 5

Recap: I flipped the one dollar bill over. And there, written in beautiful pink script was what i had been searching so long and hard to find: Emily Leonard – 1-425-299-1419 Monday Morning – Emily’s POV I had spent so much time in the past week getting ready for today, for the tour. I was so excited but at the same time so nervous. I had never really sung in front of a very big audience before. But i was pretty sure i could manage. I said goodbye to my mom and i left for the address, which was somewhere in downtown Seattle. I had two large duffel bags, a suitcase and two guitars, on acoustic, on electric. As i arrived at the address i was given, my phone rang. I grabbed it quickly and answered. “Hello?”. “Hi. Emily?” A guy who was probably 18 or 19 asked me. “Yes. Who’s this?” “You mean you don’t remember me?” He asked joking around. “What do you mean?” I asked totally not joking around for once. “I mean you totally completely set me up and after four months of long hard searching i finally find that stupid dollar bill and you don’t even remember me?” he replied. I was in shock. “You mean…Joe?” I asked. “Well of course!” He answered. “You actually found it?” I questioned amazed at how he didn’t give up even after all this time. “Yeah, i did.” He replied. “Well, i’m sorry but right now isn’t a great time. I’ll put you in my phone and text you later or something. Okay?” “Okay talk to you then.” “Bye.” “Bye.” I hung up and put my phone back into my pocket. I was about to …
